Experience

I have over ten years’ experience in providing confidential, short and longer term one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy for adults and teenagers within various settings, including the NHS, Relate, and local charities such as The Counselling Partnership and Off The Record, Twickenham. In addition to my private practice, I currently work at three local secondary schools where I provide counselling for teenagers aged from 11 to 18 years old.

BACP Accreditation

I am also an Accredited member of the BACP which means that I have met the stringent training and practice criteria established by this professional body to ensure counsellors are working with professionalism and integrity. An important part of my accreditation is that I commit to continuing professional development (CPD) by way of attending courses and keeping up-to-date with the latest counselling research.

Personal Story

I understand that you need to feel safe enough to share with me any thoughts and feelings that perhaps you have felt unable to tell anyone else in your life and so why would that be me? My journey throughout life has been one of experiencing depression, anxiety, panic attacks, bereavement and post-natal depression, and it was the latter which finally put me in front of an amazing counsellor and on the road to wellness. So I do understand what it's like to be sat in the chair opposite for the first time, putting your mental health in someone else's hands.

And throughout my training, I have experienced different styles of therapy and so I believe I am able to take the good bits from all of them and offer a unique relationship, which I hope will help support you through whatever pain you're in right now and out the other side.
